Sportpsychologie

Sport psychology is a dynamically developing discipline at the intersection of psychology and sports science. It deals with human experience and action in the complex field of sport and exercise. On the one hand, it is interested in how sporting performance can be optimized. However, this image of traditional sport psychology would be truncated if the subject did not also focus on topics related to sport and health and on the socio-psychological effects of sport and exercise. In this textbook, this will be done primarily with regard to the empirical-experimental foundations and with reference to the international state of research. In 12 chapters, internationally renowned authors introduce the empirical-experimental basics of individual topic complexes on perception and attention, on motor learning.
