Spiritualität - eine Anforderung an ergotherapeutische Kompetenzen

Spirituality is at the center of the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement (CMOP-E), highlighting its central influence on human occupation. According to medical and psychological studies, it also has a significant impact, demonstrating characteristics of a coping resource. Since it is inherent in the philosophy of occupational therapy to support clients in their coping processes, this work aims to raise awareness among occupational therapists regarding the spiritual needs and resources of their clients. It seeks to sharpen the therapeutic perspective on search movements. A conscious application of spirituality-related competencies supports clients in processing distressing life events. It promotes the implementation of meaningful occupations and contributes to the expansion of self-efficacy beliefs.
