Andrés Iniesta Luján, born on May 11, 1984, in Fuentealbilla, Province of Albacete, is a Spanish football player. The attacking midfielder, who is contracted to FC Barcelona, is usually deployed on the left side but can also play on the right side or as a winger. In the final of the 2010 World Cup against the Netherlands, Iniesta scored the winning goal for the Spanish national football team just before the end of extra time, leading them to their first World Cup title.
