At twenty, Laura Coleman is primarily one thing: directionless. Frustrated, she quits her job in London and travels through Bolivia with a backpack. There, a chance encounter leads her to an animal rescue center deep in the jungle. The camp is dirty, the animals are astonishingly eccentric, and mosquitoes buzz everywhere - yet despite all the complaints, Laura doesn't give up and stays. When she is tasked with taking daily walks with the traumatized female puma Wayra, she is determined to face the challenge. Slowly, a delicate bond forms that changes both of them forever...
