What's new in the 5th edition 2025: The content has been thoroughly revised, for example, in Chapter 9 'Social Inequality'. New and current content has been incorporated. Chapter 4 'Social Conflicts' now includes a dedicated section on 'War and Peace' as well as 'Nonviolent Communication'. The theory-related chapters 5, 6, and 7 have been made even clearer and more comprehensible, such as the 'Social System Theory' by Luhmann in Chapter 5. Summaries and tasks can now be found not only at the end of each chapter but also in larger sections within each chapter that conclude with a summary, tasks, and suggestions.
