Soziokulturelle Faktoren und Finanzierung von Kleinstunternehmen

The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between entrepreneurs and their families in order to illustrate its impact on the financing of microenterprises in the West Cameroon region. Using a qualitative multiple-case approach, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 22 leading owners of microenterprises in the cities of Dschang and Bafoussam, selected through the method of purposeful sampling. The analysis of the statements from these entrepreneurs, utilizing thematic content analysis and the software Nvivo10, revealed that the regular participation of the entrepreneur in family and community meetings in the region forms the basis for the financial support that the family provides to the entrepreneur. To demonstrate his connection to the family, the managing owner of a microenterprise must attend all meetings and events organized by the family or the community. This participation is a prerequisite for the financial support that can be granted to him at the right time for financing his business.
