This work implements a dual concept of a textbook and casebook. The first part (Fundamentals) provides a systematic overview of social law. Numerous overviews, tables, and many examples from the highest court rulings help to facilitate the understanding of this complex subject. In the text section, references to the corresponding case in the second part are made at appropriate points. In the second part (Cases), court decisions that are particularly significant in practice have been selected, such as the new ruling from the European Court of Justice regarding the indexing of family benefits. For a quick overview, the relevant legal provision is presented before the full text. This work is particularly tailored to the needs of practitioners but is also aimed at students and trainees preparing for exams.
