Sozialpädagogik zwischen Staat und Familie

Since its beginnings, social pedagogy has found itself in a field of tension between help and control and between family and state. It fights social inequalities and at the same time reproduces them in addressing social problems. The resulting difficulties and conflicts are contoured differently historically and field-specifically and produce specific discourses and practices of legitimizing interventions. This volume takes a differentiated look at such discourses and practices and reflects on them theoretically and empirically.
