Sozialismus am Ende?

Socialism is said to be at an end – this is proclaimed by bourgeois media, institutions, and politicians. This consistent drumbeat since 1990 has not succeeded in erasing the idea of socialism from people's minds. But how did it come to pass that capitalism has been restored in all formerly socialist countries? Does this mean socialism is at an end? These questions can only be answered correctly if one processes the causes of this historical defeat and draws conclusions from it. Socialism is not at an end. It must be built on the basis of proletarian thinking in the future. This book from 1992 makes an internationally recognized contribution to that end. The author, Willi Dickhut (1904-1992), was a member of the KPD and a thinker and co-founder of the MLPD. He traveled to the GDR and the Soviet Union and criticized the ongoing misdevelopments there since the 1950s. For this book, he processed, among other things, original sources from the Soviet Union and the Stasi archives of the GDR.
