Product details
Educational opportunities are socially unevenly distributed in all Western societies, just as the chances for children to grow up healthy. Based on the assumption that health is an educationally relevant resource, Julia Tuppat investigates the effects of early health impairments on educational outcomes through a theory-driven empirical study. It becomes evident that health inequality in childhood represents an additional pathway for the intergenerational transmission of unequal educational opportunities.
