I wrote this paper because I was able to convince myself of the effectiveness of this method through my own work with groups. The method is often underestimated in its effectiveness by both recipients and professionals due to seemingly generalized approaches. Its relevance seems particularly attributable to the budget cuts in the social sector. Furthermore, the paper provides insight into the methodological work of the staff as well as the core competencies developed for this field of work.
