Soziale Differenz und Reifizierung

Questions of school-related social inequalities are currently receiving widespread attention in the social sciences. However, a critical-reflexive examination of underlying difference-related construction processes has so far mainly taken place in qualitative-reconstructive research contexts. On the other hand, research on difference-related phenomena, with questions about potential connections of difference reconstruction on the societal and institutional level as well as on the level of the investigated actors and the researchers themselves, often remains limited to individual subareas. This volume is dedicated to the question of the knowledge potential associated with the critical reflection of social differentiations and reifications in the research process and brings together contributions from different contexts of empirical social and educational research.
