Soziale Arbeit und Sport

This textbook sheds light on the currently developing field of sports social work. Through an independent presentation of the discipline and profession of social work and sports, the question is discussed whether the term "science" is justified for social work and sports. Based on this, sports social work is presented, among other things, through a qualitative interview, focusing on its professional realization. In this context, fan engagement, all-day care, and offerings from sports clubs serve as illustrative examples. Finally, two concrete examples—disability and migration—are highlighted, in which sports become visible as a method of integration and inclusion.
