In every fifty-year-old there is a twenty-five-year-old who wonders what happened. By chance, Miriam, Hanne and Claudia met in the summer of 1989 in Portugal. The three 25-year-olds become friends and spend the summer of their lives there. In the end they decide: No matter what happens - when we turn 50, we'll meet here. And suddenly it is that time. Unbelievable. But to go to Portugal on an ancient promise? They have very little contact left and all three of them are stuck deep in their daily lives. Miriam has made a career in market research and with two children, husband and au-pair, she has a weekly schedule timed to the minute.
