The book "Software Defined Radio Based Wideband CDMA Systems" by Hong Nie discusses the application of Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) and Combining Macrodiversity (CM) in Software Defined Radio (SDR) base stations. The aim is to increase the reverse link capacity of Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems. An adaptive prediction and cancellation method for digitization is presented, which reduces the high dynamic requirements on Analog-Digital Converters (ADCs). Additionally, an SDR-based Distributed Base Station Architecture (DBS) is introduced, allowing for the simultaneous utilization of radio signals received from multiple DBS to detect mobile users. Finally, the improvements in reverse link capacity through multi-cell ISC and CM are analyzed in detail and examined through theoretical analyses and computer simulations.
