Sobotta Lehrbuch Anatomie
German, Tobias M. Boeckers, Jens Waschke, Friedrich Paulsen, 2019Product details
The textbook explains anatomy clearly and straightforwardly, oriented towards the catalog of subjects and focusing on the knowledge relevant for assessments and the medical licensing exam. To motivate why foundational knowledge of anatomy is so important, each chapter begins with an exciting clinical case that establishes a practical connection to future clinical practice. Additionally, clinical boxes throughout the chapters repeatedly highlight the clinical relevance of individual topics. This makes anatomy, one of the first major hurdles of medical studies, easily understandable and illustrative. Since its first edition, the textbook has addressed the requirements of the National Competency-Based Learning Objectives Catalog for Medicine (NKLM), which outlines the skills and knowledge necessary for future medical practice. As part of the Master Plan for Medical Studies 2020, the NKLM will gain even more importance in the future and is expected to be included in the new licensing regulations. It is also well-suited for dental students, thanks to the very detailed chapter on the head. New in the 2nd edition: The 2nd edition expands the textbook with new illustrations and a new chapter on the use of imaging techniques in anatomy. Reader feedback: "This book is a great textbook that complements the Sobotta Atlas! ...Even if you don't study with the Sobotta Atlases, this book is recommended...." "Very good and illustrative summary. Absolutely suitable for teaching and exam preparation, and very comprehensive in scope." "...the Sobotta Anatomy textbook in its 1st edition represents a comprehensive, essential, easily understandable, and well-illustrated companion for medical studies and possibly even beyond.".
