"People and their stories have always fascinated me. I watch people on the train, in the old people's home or doing their weekly bulk shopping and wonder what goes on in their heads. On the basis of their facial expressions, gestures and posture, I consider what occupies and moves them. From the thoughts that come to me, everyday occurrences arise. I am never quite sure whether I am making up the stories or whether they will find me. But one thing is certain, writing has become an important ritual for me. I can better classify and process many things in my life. The short stories were written last winter. Especially in the quiet, dark season - which is my favourite - I find a lot of peace to put my thoughts down on paper. The time was ripe to start something new after the "Mischtlechranz". In "So viu Zyt muess sy" there are episodes like us.
