Frederico has a fantastic summer ahead of him. In just a few days, he will embark on a study trip to England. The world is open to him. However, he experiences an encounter that turns Frederico's life upside down: Don Pino shows him the Brancaccio neighborhood, which is firmly under the control of the Cosa Nostra and marked by ruthless violence and bitter poverty. The young man realizes how little he knows about his own city. Through Don Pino's eyes and his commitment to the people of the neighborhood, a new world opens up to him. He decides to stay in Palermo and help.
