Product details

Towards the end of the 1960s a new women's movement developed from the general protest movement in the FRG. This quickly went beyond demands for equal rights for women and men and called capitalist and patriarchal conditions into question. Numerous groups used confrontational methods of confrontation. In the rich literature on the women's movement, however, these militant movements of feminism have so far hardly appeared. This study closes an important research gap. The author focuses on three topics: the fight against the ban on abortion; violence against women and sexist advertising; international solidarity among women. She focuses on different female actors, from the rebellious SDS women to Alice Schwarzer and armed women.
