The topic of privacy screens has rapidly evolved into a new flagship discipline in garden design. Where simple hedgerows or slatted fences once blocked the view to neighbors, garden designers today plan elegant sight windows made of glass, steel, stone, and sculpted shrubs. The ideas presented astonish with their variety, originality, and – a new trend in privacy screens – increasingly with multifunctionality. Thus, the obligation to create a privacy screen for neighbors simultaneously results in a stunning outdoor fireplace, a modern fountain, a fascinating light object, or simply additional storage space. In addressing the important question of which privacy screen best meets individual needs on-site, this book serves as a unique aid during the orientation and planning phase.
