Shotokan Karate Kata 1

Katas are the true center of Karate. Through continuous practice, they unlock the full spectrum of possibilities contained in Karate. The katas feature a fascinating variety of techniques that enable defense at short, medium, and long distances. The corresponding application situations of the katas are presented in detail. Additionally, the uniqueness of a karate style is expressed in the kata. The katas included in this book form the foundation of Shotokan Karate.
