Seydlitz Geographie - Themenbände 2020. Sphären im System Erde

For the classroom in the upper secondary level starting from the 2021/2022 school year, the Seydlitz series is being released with two new volumes. The volume "Seydlitz Geography - Global Challenges in the Earth System" covers both the competency requirements of the two-hour basic subject and those of the five-hour advanced subject. The volume "Red Series - Spheres in the Earth System" from the Red Series complements the advanced subject's additional competency requirements with its physical geography content.

Both volumes, presented in A4 format, are not only aligned in content but also impress with a simple and consistent design:

The impulse text at the beginning of a double page raises the issue and concludes with a guiding question.

Material M1 serves as introductory material to complement the impulse text.

A basic information text (M2) explains the essential content of the topic in context.

The logical sequence of tasks guides through the diverse materials, providing a coherent thread for the further course of instruction.

The competency check at the end of a chapter serves to reinforce the competencies acquired within the topic: The content of the topic is summarized through a factual text and a mind map. Competencies are verified through self-assessment. Solutions to basic competency questions, accessible via QR codes, as well as a compilation of key terms related to the topic, assist in this process.

In the concluding exam training, students can then test and deepen their skills and methodological competencies.

A compact methods appendix with application examples serves to train the required process-related competencies, which are demanded in the chapters of the book in the context of training suitable content-related competencies.
