Sexuell traumatisierte Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung

The sexuality of people with disabilities was a taboo subject in disability support facilities until just a few decades ago. The downside of this repression is that women with intellectual disabilities are two to three times more likely to be victims of sexual violence than the average female population. This volume ventures into largely uncharted territory regarding this highly relevant topic in disability support and education. It initially presents the latest research findings on the subject. The second part of the volume then highlights innovative prevention projects and concepts for therapeutic and educational support for intellectually disabled victims of sexual violence.
