Andres Gerber (April 26, 1973) is a former Swiss football player. In the 2009/2010 season, he retired from professional football and is currently employed as the sports director and assistant coach at the Axpo Super League club FC Thun. As a youth player, Gerber played for FC Belp and the Young Boys Bern (YB). He made his way into professional football with YB. Other clubs in his career included FC Lausanne-Sport (1998-2000) and Grasshopper Zurich (2000-2003). In 2003, he transferred to the Bernese Oberland club FC Thun, where he celebrated his greatest successes. From 2002 to 2008, the midfielder played in the top Swiss league, the Super League, and also participated in two Champions League matches with FC Thun, one of which he played despite an Achilles tendon injury.
