Serenade für Nadja

An old man searches for his past, while a young woman seeks her future. The Turkish Maya is supposed to assist the German professor Maximilian Wagner only during a conference in Istanbul. However, the more the young woman learns about his life, the harder it becomes for her to escape the tragic story of the old man. Gradually, Maya begins to understand the mystery surrounding the woman, Nadja, whom Wagner always talks about. And for whom he - decades later - takes out his violin and plays by the shores of the Black Sea. The story of this tragic love captivates Maya, especially as she recognizes more and more parallels to her own life.
