EGOistIN

Consistently standing up for oneself is still difficult for many women. While feminism has opened one or two doors, women often reject the idea of being selfish and thinking of themselves first. The tough businesswoman on the outside, who seems to effortlessly hold her own, is often inwardly timid and struggles to protect her needs. "EGOistIN" is not a manifesto against evil men or a plea for ruthlessness. Rather, it aims to clarify misunderstandings regarding selfishness and encourage women to discover their own needs and to live them, even when others disapprove. It doesn't matter whether these others are men, women, or children. Numerous obstacles, both internal and external, must be overcome for the goal of a self-determined, happy life to become a given for all women. Without healthy selfishness, this dream will remain unattainable.
