Product details
The aim of the monograph was to select the steel grade and develop the technological cycle for the production of high-strength mandrels for punching and cross-rolling of seamless pipes. As a result of the development of the manufacturing technology and the heat treatment processes of the screw drill mandrel, the optimal steel grade 451 was selected for mandrel production, offering the best combination of price and quality. The technology for mandrel production was designed, and the scheme of technological processes for product manufacturing was developed. A special heat treatment is provided to avoid defects and ensure machinability by cutting; annealing on coarse pearlite is carried out. Estimated production costs and unit production costs have been calculated. Hazardous and harmful factors have been identified, and technical as well as organizational measures have been developed to reduce their negative impacts.
