Product details

The present work presents the doctrine of criminal liability in its historical and systematic contexts, as it has developed in Switzerland up to the present day. More than a decade after the publication of the previous edition, a revision of this volume was more than urgent; it has been brought up to date with current legislation, case law, and doctrine. The focus is on the extensive practice of the Federal Court. The references to literature, on the other hand, are mainly limited to the standard textbooks and commentaries. The sheer number of monographs, contributions in journals and collected works, not to mention case notes, makes their inclusion in a textbook no longer feasible without exceeding its inherent limitations. Specific questions are left to be addressed by the commentary literature. In its fundamental lines, the work corresponds to the previous edition. However, due to the change in authors, certain positions have been subjected to critical examination and revised where necessary. A list of laws and a detailed subject index are intended to facilitate the use of the new edition.
