The present volume on domestic arbitration completes the Bern commentary on the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure. The commentary processes, on one hand, the extensive existing literature and the first published decisions regarding the new provisions on domestic arbitration. On the other hand, it places domestic arbitration in relation to other significant norms and rules concerning arbitration in Switzerland. The commentary compares domestic arbitration with the provisions of the IPRG applicable before international arbitration courts, as well as with the previous concordat on arbitration. Additionally, it analyzes the compatibility of the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration with the third part of the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure. Nine authors have contributed to this work, all of whom are recognized as distinguished experts.
