The accompanying volume to the number book offers a comprehensive range of activities and tasks. It supports teachers in lesson preparation. In addition to an introduction to working with the teaching material, it includes detailed didactic notes for each page of the textbook. The accompanying volume to the "Swiss Number Book 1" has now been released in a new format. The layout has been revised and redesigned; the content remains unchanged.

The didactic notes and suggestions for all individual topics of the number book can be found as usual in the main chapter "Daily Practice." Helpful comments on teaching provide answers to key questions:

• How can one proceed?
• How might it continue?

To allow teachers to quickly familiarize themselves with the material, the textbook pages and selected pages from the workbook are printed in a reduced format; the solutions to the tasks are highlighted in color. Teachers who are using the number book for the first time will be guided through the accompanying volume in this way.

The CD-ROM contains templates, worksheets for quick calculations with solutions, learning objective assessments with solutions, templates for some game boards of the thinking school, solutions for the textbook, and selected illustrations for creating slides. The templates and learning objective assessments are now available as writable PDFs.

Note on using the CD-ROM: A step-by-step guide in the introduction to the CD-ROM shows how easy it is to copy text or images from the available formats and paste them into other files, such as Word.
