Schwarzer Sand

A brutal crime deep in hot Sicily and an unconventional investigator who won't be thrown off her game. As a small village at the foot of Mount Etna is enveloped in a haze of ash, Alfio Burrano makes a gruesome discovery in an ancient villa: in a service elevator lies the mummified body of a woman, with remnants of a silk scarf still hanging from her skull.
