The Prague Daily, a significant German-language daily newspaper of the Austrian monarchy and the Czechoslovak Republic, was known for its excellent literary supplement. Robert Walser had been occasionally featured in it since 1907. After Max Brod joined the editorial team in the spring of 1924, their journalistic relationship intensified, and from 1925 onwards, only poems were published, primarily in the newspaper's Sunday supplement. The present edition of the prints in the Prague Daily opens new perspectives on late lyric poetry and, in addition to the already published volumes on the Prague press, makes Robert Walser's presence in Prague's newspaper literary supplements researchable based on a large body of texts and over an extended period.
