Sensory integration in psychiatry

In recent years, interest in treatment approaches that utilize aspects of sensory integration therapy for the treatment of adult psychiatric patients has been growing in Germany. In this book, readers will find a collection of previously published journal articles on this topic in German, some of which have been expanded or fundamentally revised. These articles are complemented by an overview of the current state of discussion in the Anglo-American context. The articles document the diversity of ideas in a perception-centered treatment of schizophrenic patients based on the concept of sensory integration and provide suggestions for reflective practice.
