Schulthess Lebensmittelrecht EU - Schweiz

EU food law has gained increasing importance for Switzerland in recent years. Although only individual aspects of food law have so far been the subject of bilateral agreements, Switzerland aligns the development of its national law with international developments and has adapted its food law to the central regulatory areas of Union law as part of autonomous alignment. This publication provides an overview of the background, fundamental principles, and developments in EU food law and analyzes their significance for Switzerland. Since the first edition in 2006, numerous reforms and innovations have taken place in EU secondary legislation as well as in Swiss legislation, which are reflected in the second edition.
