Datenschutzgrundverordnung (DSGVO): Tragweite und erste Erfahrungen

This work, which brings together the written versions of the lectures held at the twelfth Swiss Data Protection Law Day in 2019 in Freiburg, is dedicated to the significance and initial experiences under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The authors address the fundamentals of the GDPR and the modernized Convention 108 of the Council of Europe. Specific aspects of the GDPR are also examined, such as the territorial scope and new instruments provided within it. Following the example of previous years, this publication concludes with a presentation of the latest case law, particularly from the Federal Court in the field of data protection.
