Natalia Ginzburg tells the story of a woman who no longer wants to go along with the life that seems predetermined for her. The Signora has bought a little house in a suburb of the city—she simply couldn't stand living in the small nest where she had almost died of boredom since her husband's death. Everything would be different in the city. Fortunately, she meets Signora Fontana by chance. The two women become friends and make plans for a joint gallery, which they want to name after the zodiac sign "Sagittarius." And as Signora Fontana's financial resources unexpectedly dry up... Colorful, affectionate portraits of women (men only appear on the sidelines) that Natalia Ginzburg characterizes with all their little quirks and often in a very amusing way.
