In every entry class, there are children who do not recognize the symbolic character of writing, who cannot conceptually distinguish between numbers and letters, or who cannot segment language. These children do not need uniform training of basic skills, but rather instruction that takes into account their individual stage of development. Primary teachers therefore need meaningful tasks that can identify children's abilities and difficulties in literacy acquisition. The book offers evaluated diagnostic tasks for enrollment and for first and second grade. The booklet, which is available separately, provides copy templates as well as detailed instructions for carrying out and evaluating the tasks.
