Do you perhaps have a faint idea which animal wants to be awakened in you? The first-person narrator in this extraordinary picture book has long since realised this: "I am a white snow lion," he proudly and confidently proclaims. At times he moves smoothly through the world and does not let injustice stand. Observing - he can do that very well, too, and invites us to look a little behind the façade with him, to see the true inner nature of people. So in his class you find another tiger, two zebras and three giraffes, the headmaster is an elephant, the teacher an antelope. However, this is combined with the as it were unspoken agreement not to reveal these very personal secrets.
