In Hamburg, the snow reveals two female corpses - their hands and feet are pierced. Both wear a watch in place of their hearts. The investigator Jan Nygård, originally from Sweden, comes across the past case of the puppeteer who attempted to create puppets from his female victims in a bestial manner. Nygård and his new partner Anna Wasmuth quickly realize that they are not dealing with a simple copycat. Here is a student at work who wants to surpass his master - and he already has a new puppet on the string...
