Product details

Trix and Robert Haussmann are arguably the most internationally renowned architect couple from Switzerland. Their collaborative work began in 1967 with the founding of the office later known as the "Allgemeine Entwurfsanstalt Zürich," which questioned modernism and redefined the fields of design, interior architecture, and architecture. Robert Haussmann taught at the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts, ETH Zurich, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, while Trix Haussmann also taught at ETH Zurich. In 2013, they were honored with the Grand Prix Design Switzerland. This new volume in the series "Protagonists of Swiss Living Culture" examines the tension between the early and later phases of the Haussmanns' work. It provides in-depth insights into individual projects, revealing how the Haussmanns playfully, fluidly, and consistently transitioned from modernism.
