Roger Eberhard Standard

Swiss photographer Roger Eberhard traveled to all five continents for his new conceptual photography project. In 32 cities, he consistently booked a standard double room at the local Hilton hotel and photographed the interior featuring a double bed, furniture, and window. Additionally, he captured the view of each city from the hotel room window. This resulted in Roger Eberhard's new book, "Standard," which offers a multifaceted perspective on our global world. The interiors of the largest hotel chain in the world are designed according to the same scheme globally, giving them a surprisingly uniform appearance; however, many also include subtle references to local tastes. The views of the cities reveal that while most major cities around the world have become similar in many aspects, they still retain their unique characteristics.
