Product details
The Swiss photographer, artist, and collector Andreas Züst (1947-2000) is a legendary figure in European cultural life. His art collection exemplifies the development of the art scene from the late 1970s to the 1990s. For the first time, a substantial and very personal reading and viewing book is dedicated to his life and work, published on the occasion of a collection exhibition at the Aargau Art Museum. The book serves as a psychogram of the collector Züst: through approximately 1,500 works by 230 artists, the person who gathered these pieces is revealed. Additionally, Andreas Züst—himself a photographer of successful photo books—has portrayed the collected artists. These photographic portraits run like a red thread throughout the book, alongside around 400 works from the collection.
