Product details
This book focuses on the development of a "master class" at the widely known Palucca School in Dresden during the 1980s, captured through photographic snapshots. Leipzig photographer Rainer Dorndeck (1941-2011) impressively manages to capture the great expressive power of the elderly master Gret Palucca (1902-1993) with his artistic black-and-white photographs, while also illuminating the awakening potential of the young dance personalities beginning to unfold. Thus, a time document has emerged that provides insight into the work of an artistic elite school in the GDR and will be of interest not only to dance creators but also to connoisseurs of high-quality art photography. The authors include exhibition photographs in this book, which were displayed in 1992 at the Press Club Bremen and at the Palucca School.
