Alexander Wolkow's wonderful adaptation of the American children's book classic 'The Wizard of Oz' has seen more than one hundred ten reprints. Eventually, Wolkow succumbed to the urging of his many enthusiastic readers and wrote a continuation of the enchanting tale, which encompassed five volumes by the time of his death. 'The Seven Underground Kings' is the third volume of the 'Land of Oz' series. The German first edition was published in 1972. Elli, her friend Fred, and the little dog Totoschka are trapped during a cave exploration and find themselves in the underground realm of King Bofaro and his seven sons.
