Ruth Bader Ginsburg

"Trailblazer. Heroine. Wonderwoman." (ttt) Ruth Bader Ginsburg has changed the world. Her face is emblazoned on T-shirts, her courageous stance inspires people of all generations. The petite U.S. Supreme Court justice was the moral compass and feminist icon of millennials - valued, sometimes feared, for her razor-sharp mind, wit and fighting spirit. Throughout her life, she fought unflinchingly for justice. At the age of 87, she succumbed to cancer in Washington on Sept. 18, 2020. Her message, however, reverberates. "I dissent." Those words made her famous. In 1956, RBG, as many now call her, began her law studies at the elite Harvard University - one of only nine women among 500 men. She became one of the first women law professors in the U.S. and, against all odds, won landmark court rulings on gender equality in the 1970s. In 1993, President Clinton appointed her to the Supreme Court, the second woman ever to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Since then, she has been celebrated like a pop star.
