Product details
Two famous American reporters, writer one, photographer the other, travel for several weeks in 1947 through the enigma of the Soviet Union. They want to document the sensitivities and life of the Russian people, since they distrust the anti-communist propaganda of their government. The two had noticed "that there were some things in Russia about which nobody wrote, and that it was precisely these things that interested us most. What are the people wearing there? What do they serve for dinner? Do they celebrate festivals? How do they love, and how do they die?". The result is a unique contemporary document: a literary reportage, accompanied by fascinating shots by one of the great photographers of the 20th century.
