Blurb
The people of Bern affectionately call it Bernbiet, referring to this hilly land traversed by the Aare and Sense rivers, nestled between the peaks of the Oberland, the ridges of the Jura, the valleys of the Emmental, and the world of Romandy. It is a surprisingly diverse hiking region, featuring sunny mountains, dense forests, wild streams, and warm lakes, along with charming villages, Roman ruins, sandy cliffs, and the lovely cities of Biel, Solothurn, Burgdorf, Thun, Fribourg, and Neuchâtel. There, one can enjoy wonderful hiking all year round. Naturally, this also applies to Bern itself, the capital of Bernbiet and Switzerland. Not just on Sundays with the family. A hiking guide for families, walkers, adventurers, culture enthusiasts, and Bern residents.
