The first book on mindfulness of emotions. Following his successful book "Quiet Up There," Andreas Knuf shows the way to a healing approach to our feelings. Our emotions can be like tormentors: we are addicted to the pleasant ones, such as joy and exuberance, while we prefer to push away the unpleasant feelings of sadness or fear. However, neither pushing them away nor letting them out brings relief. The only truly helpful approach is a different one: the path of mindfulness. Being mindful with emotions means being aware and fully opening ourselves to what is. It involves allowing feelings to come, feeling them, and then letting them go without judgment or the desire to change them. The benefit: we feel more alive and relaxed. We become more open to what we encounter and bolder because we no longer fear our inner world. This book illustrates how this can be achieved.
