In recent decades, sustainability issues have been regarded by many companies as essential elements for the survival of both these organizations and people. In this context, reverse logistics plays a role as an active mechanism for the reuse, recycling, and repurposing of products, making sustainability a distinguishing feature for those who practice it. This book aims to examine whether micro and small enterprises in the Bauru/SP region encounter obstacles when implementing a reverse logistics program. The investigation was conducted in the Bauru/SP region, involving a population of micro and small transformation enterprises from various productive segments and selected randomly. The survey results indicate that 63% of the companies surveyed report facing obstacles in implementing a reverse logistics program. The main obstacles are: lack of adequate waste disposal sites, lack of awareness among entrepreneurs and consumers, absence of government incentives, and high disposal costs.
