In 80 Days Out of Bed - Sargnagel comes from the internet and is, with the exception of Rainald Goetz and his online diary "Waste for Everyone," the first German-speaking author to have found a form online that fits, works as literature, and reaches a large audience through existing channels. Stefanie Sargnagel writes radically subjective and very wise reflections on the so-called simple life, feminism, hopelessness, and depression. Stefanie Sargnagel is terse but often finds herself storytelling, occasionally drawing as well, breaking all genre boundaries and achieving something that doesn’t have to be called a novel to captivate. It is often uproariously funny and sometimes tragic. Her texts are like a summit meeting between Christine Nöstlinger and Heinz Strunk, from which both emerge with a unique perspective.
